You can use the WP Super Cache, Autoptimize Plugin. If you have money, you can use WP Rocket. They will greatly improve the speed of the website. I'm using WP Super Cache and Autoptimize

Optimize your website for what? If you're asking for a total optimization then you can follow the list below:

    1. Website Optimization: W3 Total Cache + CloudFlare
    2. Image Optimization: Smush Image Compression and Optimization
    3. Search Engine Optimization: Yoast SEO

Don't forget to setup AMP for your Website. It'll help you to get better ranking on SERPs. Hope this will help.

Have you tried using some SEO and website audit tools? They can give you valuable insights on how to optimize your site both on-page and off-page. Take a look at some of the most popular SEO tools for beginners and learn how they can help you boost your online presence. My advice is - don't use just one tool, but a few, because each tool offers different functionalities. For example, Ahrefs can help you optimize your content thanks to its keywords and content explorer tool, and it can also perform a web audit to you, so you can find out which things you need to fix. Screaming Frog SEO Spider enables you to test SERP snippets (titles and descriptions), to see how they look like and whether their length is optimal. It also shows inlinks and outlinks, and a lot more.
